Government sponsored program is certified by 3rd party inspectors as to:

1) Energy plan and design
2) Insulation package
3) Blower door and duct blaster test

Additional Construction Features for Qualification:

Frame basement on 2" centers
Insulate basement wall framing
Install "Membrain" vapor barrier in baement
Install Techshield reflective roof sheathing
Install deluxe foam and caulk package to all exterior walls and penetrations
Upgrade to two G51 - 92% furnaces
MAstic and seal all ductwork on the house so that conditioned air cannot escape into building envelope
Add two heat recovery ventilators that bring in fresh air and vent out old air
Install two automatic setback thermostats
Glue sheetrock at cold air returns to ensure them to be more airtight
Change bath fans to quiet fans that have backflow preventers to stop air coming back into house through the fans when the house is pressurized
Change all bulbs in house to Compact Flourescents for increased energy efficiency
Energy Star rated appliances
Seal attic access panels to help prevent air leakage
